About Me

Hi, my name is Mrs. Jill Ruiz and I am the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science teacher here at SAM!

I grew up in Parma, Ohio where I attended Bethany Lutheran School and Padua Franciscan High School.

I live with my husband Dave and our rescue dogs Rocky and Layla and Lori. Mr. Ruiz and I are both black belts in Kenpo Karate, and I also volunteer at the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter.

I have been teaching since 2013, and I have been at St. Angela’s since 2018.

My Education

I attended Baldwin Wallace and earned my B.S. in Middle Childhood Education in the areas of Science, Reading, and ELA.

What do you love about SAM

I love working with a fantastic team of teachers, as well as a ton of students who keep me on my toes, make me laugh, and ask awesome questions.

At SAM, I assist with the Drama Club and the St. Francis Earth Club, and am part of the faculty STEAM Team.
