There are many ways to support St. Angela Merici Parish School, and the biggest way is by volunteering your time and talent.

Parents and guardians are welcome to serve as volunteers in the school or in the classrooms as needed and must follow all school policies and regulations regarding school visitors.

In addition, all school volunteers must adhere to the Diocese of Cleveland policies under Protecting God’s Children Program and must attend VIRTUS Training and submit to a Criminal Background Check.

Virtus - Protecting God's Children

EVERYONE who is a volunteer at St. Angela Merici must meet specific requirements as set forth by the Diocese of Cleveland.

Volunteer compliance requirements are met by completing ALL of the following:

Attend a Virtus: Protecting God's Children live training session once; Go to virtus.org to register for a session or find more information about the Virtus program.
Complete the required reading (brief monthly bulletins) as prompted by virtus.org.
Complete a BCI&I background check by having your fingerprints taken. Several locations offering fingerprinting are listed here.
Complete the St. Angela Merici Volunteer Application.
New Diocesan Sexual Abuse and Standards of Conduct in Ministry policies have been put into place in 2016, with a short series of videos explaining them. All employees and volunteers MUST view the videos and read the policies which can be accessed at the Diocesan website, dioceseofcleveland.org/childprotection. (The new documents are also on file in the Parish Center and the School Office.)
Acknowledgement forms indicating that volunteers have viewed the videos, read the policies, and agree to uphold them must be signed and returned to the Parish Center by January 31, 2017.
Read and sign acceptance of the St. Angela Merici Standards of Conduct.
Complete the St. Angela Merici driver form. (Optional: only needed if you will be transporting minors in your personal vehicle).
